Neighbourhood Watch Presentation
Everyone is aware that Spofforth has been a target for a number of thefts and robberies this year, so we have reinstated the Neighbourhood Watch scheme where our membership had lapsed for a number of years.
Alastair Graham-Merrett, our Community Police Officer is doing a presentation to the village in the Village Hall on Thursday 18th July at 7.00 pm in the Village Hall. We will be looking at ways in which the community can help ourselves ... and each other. We will be looking for volunteers for the Neighbourhood Watch Scheme for each street.
Discussion about the bigger picture – what is the Government doing etc. – will NOT be on the agenda. This is about the here and now and what can be done to make a difference in Spofforth.
