The Parish Council has two vacancies for new Councillors.

Eligibility Criteria for the role of Parish Councillor
To be considered for the role of Parish Councillor, you must fulfil the following qualifications:
- Be aged 18 years or over.
- Be a British citizen, a qualifying Commonwealth citizen, a citizen of the Republic of Ireland, a qualifying EU citizen or an EU citizen with retained rights.
And, meet one of the following four qualifications:
- An elector for the parish of Spofforth with Stockeld.
- During the whole of the last 12 months, occupied as owner or tenant of any land or other premises in the parish.
- During the whole of the last 12 months, had your principal or only place of work in the parish.
- During the whole of the last 12 months, resided in the parish or within three miles of it.
