Spofforth Village

The village is situated on the River Crimple, a tribuary of the River Nidd. A large part of the village is in a Conservation Area with an 11th Century castle and 13 items on the statutory list of Buildings of Special Architecture or Historic Interest, i.e. grade I or II listed.

Stockeld is located on the A661 just outside Spofforth towards Wetherby. Stockeld Park is a privately owned 2,000 acre agricultural estate and home to The Christmas Adventure and also one of Yorkshire's finest Christmas tree growers.

Spofforth is a thriving community with a village shop and post office, The Castle Inn, The Railway Inn, Spofforth School, All Saints Church, Spofforth Cricket Club, Spofforth Golf Course and many other groups and amenities. Great transport links by bus, car and bicycle help make Spofforth an ideal rural base.
