Christmas Charity Auction
Spofforth Village Hall
6 Dec 24 - 18:00 to 22:30
On Friday 6th December, Spofforth Village Hall is set to host a Christmas Charity Auction – an exciting night of 'Fun & Favours' that is aimed to bring the community together in support of two good causes:
Martin House Children's Hospice and Bone Cancer Research Trust,
both local charities.
This event, coordinated by The Spofforth Village Society and a fantastic team of willing volunteers and musicains, will feature a lively auction; where you can bid on gifts and 'favours'; donated skills, services, or personal time from fellow residents. Whether it’s offering help with the gardening, a dog walk, a homemade cake, baby sitting, a music lesson or something a bit silly... - Every contribution counts!
We are inviting those wishing to put a gift or favour up for bidding to submit their details and brief description to:
SpofforthVS@gmail.com - before November 29th. Thank you so much!
The night will also be filled with music, in between lots - courtesy of the Community Choir and Spofforth's own swing band 'The Dapper Dandies', proforming a selection of sing-a-long fastive favorites.
In addition to the auction, we are running a “Give a Gift” appeal for those who wish to spread extra joy this season. Simply bring along a wrapped gift for a child, marking the suitable age and gender if you can. These gifts will be shared with families and children in need, making sure no one in our community goes without.
For a bit of fun and extra support we would like you to buy an item from the Martin House Charity Shop, in Wetherby and wear it with pride on the night.
So why not join us for an unforgettable evening - be merry, be generous; bid, give and help make this season brighter for everyone!
Tickets are available from Spofforth Deli & Shop - £10 each.
